Suede
Among our materials, suede is the one we discuss the most — not because it is fragile, but because it is sensitive in a way that invites care.
A good suede isn't defined by thickness. It's defined by drape. How it falls, how it moves, and by whether it stays refined while being carried in real life. That's why we chose Fassona calfskin from Piedmont, Italy. It has a fine yet densely packed structure that creates a naturally soft material with beautiful drape, while still staying durable enough for everyday bags. When finished as suede, it doesn't feel dry or spongy. It feels smooth, refined, and quietly rich from the first wear.
It lends itself beautifully to the warm tones of Italy: earth, coffee, wine shades that settle into your wardrobe easily.
You'll notice it immediately in the hand. The nap has that velvety softness that makes your fingers linger. Light settles gently across the surface and shifts as you brush it in different directions, giving the bag a depth smooth leather rarely achieves.

Yet suede does ask for consideration. It prefers dry days, a little brushing now and then, and space to breathe. This keeps the fibres looking lively.
