Domus

The Domus holds its form, a structured black top handle that stands on the floor beside the desk and looks the same full or empty. The Veluna does the opposite: a pebbled black hobo that gives up its shape the moment it is picked up, zips across the top and hangs from one shoulder for as long as the day lasts. The Domus does the meeting, the lunch that matters, the evening with a table; the Veluna does the commute, the weekend and the walk. Black against black, structured against soft. Saturday the Domus stays in its dust bag and the Veluna goes to the market on one strap.

The Domus is carried by hand, a structured black top handle for the days that need a clean line and a body that stands. The Alessa is carried on the shoulder and forgotten: 29 cm of black pebbled leather with the phone, the wallet and the keys inside, zipped, on a strap that leaves both hands free. The Domus does the office, the restaurant and the day with things in it; the Alessa does the errand, the train and the evening walk. Both are black, and neither is soft enough to slouch, so the pair reads as two sizes of the same discipline. Sunday the Alessa goes for coffee while the Domus waits for Monday.
