Soluta

The brown Soluta is a smooth top handle with a colour in it, the bag for the lunch, the dinner and the crossbody afternoon. The Domus is its black opposite: deeper, squarer, a body that stands on its own and holds a day's paperwork without slumping. The brown bag does the days that want warmth against a camel coat or denim; the black one does the meeting, the formal evening, the days that call for a plain surface. There is no brown Domus, and black is the second colour every wardrobe already owns. Monday the Domus goes to the office; Friday the brown Soluta goes to dinner.

The brown Soluta is a smooth, structured top handle, the bag that comes out when the table is booked. The Veluna is the bag for the days in between: black pebbled leather with a soft body, a zip across the top and one strap that sits on the shoulder through a full day of walking. Brown for the occasion and black for the ordinary, structured for the evening and slouched for the errand. The pebbled grain takes the weather the smooth brown leather would rather avoid. On a wet Wednesday the Veluna goes to work and the Soluta stays in its dust bag until Saturday.
