Versa Large

The Versa Large is built for the working week: a laptop, a notebook and a charger, tote in the morning and backpack on the walk home. It holds its woven panels flat under load. The Veluna is the opposite instinct, one soft compartment that drapes from a single strap and asks nothing of your shoulders. Between them the two cover the hours most people fill with a third, unloved bag. Both are black, at two textures: the woven lattice with its sheen, the pebbled grain with almost none, so the wardrobe stays the same. Friday, the tote goes under the desk and the Veluna goes out to dinner.

The Versa Large does the days that have weight in them. The Alessa does the ones that do not: phone, wallet, keys and a pair of sunglasses, on a single strap that sits at the hip. It is the bag for the market on Saturday, a dinner in the week, the travel day when the tote is already packed with the laptop and stays zipped. Black pebbled leather beside black woven leather, the same colour with a different surface, so nothing in the wardrobe has to be rethought. Sunday morning you take the Alessa for coffee and leave the Versa Large where you dropped it on Friday.
